FP Elite is an advanced protease enzyme that hydrolyzes various peptide bonds to provide yeast nutrients in the form of amino acids and peptides. By breaking down structural proteins, it may also improve access to protein-bound starch and lipids, liberating starch and oil for potentially improved ethanol and oil yield.
- Activity: 150 PROT-B/G
- Appearance: Amber
- pH: 3.0–5.0
- Bulk density: 1.18–1.23 g/mL
FP Elite (FP stands for Fermentation Protease) provides the following potential benefits to ethanol producers:
- Optimize nitrogen along with liquefaction protease
- Higher ethanol yields
- Enhanced yeast performance
- Improved corn oil production
- Lower glycerol concentrations throughout fermentation
- Possible urea/ammonia reduction due to the increased amino acids and peptides generated by the protease
FP Elite should be dosed at 0.0025 – 0.0042% weight enzyme / weight as is corn. The actual dose required will depend upon the conditions of your fermentation: time, initial pH, and the level of solids.

Recommended storage: 0–25°C (32–77°F) Packaging must be kept intact, dry, and away from sunlight. Please follow the recommendations and use the product before the best before date to avoid the need for a higher dosage.
Best before: The best before date in the certificate of analysis or on the product label. The product gives optimal performance when stored as recommended and used prior to the best-before date.
Safety and Enzyme Handling
FP Elite contains proteins obtained from large-scale cultures of a mold. Proteins may cause an allergic-type reaction in sensitized individuals that could require immediate medical attention. Prolonged direct contact may cause minor irritation to skin, eyes, or mucus membranes. For detailed handling information, please refer to the appropriate Safety Data Sheet.
CTE Global, Inc. is committed to formulating a productive and mutually beneficial relationship with ethanol producers in order to make their fermentation process as consistent, efficient, and cost-effective as possible.
