XT-SR is an endo-amylase that hydrolyzes(1,4)-alpha-D-glucosidic linkages in starch polysaccharides. This alpha amylase converts undigested starch into dextrins that can be hydrolyzed by the GA to produce glucose for improved fermentation.
- Activity: 100,000 AAF-D
- Appearance: Light to Dark Brown liquid
- pH: 4.0–9.0
- Bulk Density: 1.16 –1.2 g/mL
XT-SR should be dosed at 0.005–0.015% weight enzyme / weight as is corn. The actual dose required will depend upon the conditions of your fermentation: time, initial pH and the level of solids.
